Dear Dr. Reisfeld:

I am writing this letter to thank you for your professionalism, your kindness, and for my blessing.

I thank God each night for blessing you with the knowledge that he has given to you so that you can help people like me. As I told you, I had been suffering with sweaty palms and feet ever since I could remember. There were no physicians who could tell me what was causing this sweat. When I was a kid I was always wiping my hands on my pants. As adult, I would go to church and when it was time to go in the prayer line I always knew we would have to hold hands. So when that time came, I would exit the sanctuary, even though I wanted to stay, but I did not want anyone holding my sweaty hands. Sometimes I would play the organ at church. When I would get done it would look like someone had poured water on the organ keys. So I would always have to wipe the keys off after I got done. Whenever I would meet people for the first time I could never shake their hands. This had just been a nightmare for me.

Then all of a sudden, I go on the internet to do some research and I find you. I have to admit I was really hesitant about having the surgery. Once I met you and became more knowledgeable about this procedure I felt at ease. It has been a month and a half since I have had the surgery. My palms have not been sweaty at all. My feet sweat, but they do not sweat as much as they did before. The only other sweating I have is on the back of my thighs. I do not care about that. No one has to touch my thighs, but they have to touch my hands.

Dr. Reisfeld, the Sunday following the surgery I went to church and as soon as they called everyone to come in the prayer line I was the first to go, but they did not hold hands. The following Sunday I went and guess what – we held hands. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your professionalism in the way that you explained everything to me. I thank you for the kindness you showed to my husband and I during this ordeal. It was so nice of you to call to check to see how I was doing later on that evening. And even after we left Los Angeles and called you to ask to you questions, you returned our calls immediately each time. You even gave us your cell phone number. I realized that you thought a lot of your patients.

God has answered my prayers in so many ways. God has blessed me through you. I pray that he will keep you in his care. Again I say thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sincerely,

Tracy M

I have suffered for this condition for 30 years now. I am at a point in my life where I’m almost a college graduate, I want marriage soon, and more kids, and this condition has caused me to isolate myself from the world. My insurance does not consider this a real medical problem and will not pay for it, Please help me to be a normal person. I am a great person and I want to make a difference in this world, help me to be a normal person, Thank you!
